Care Advice, What Type Of Care?

Placing yourself or a loved one into some form of care can be one of the most difficult decisions that anyone has to make. Whether by coming to the conclusion that you are unable to care for yourself any longer or knowing that you are unable to properly meet the needs of a loved one can be a harrowing and stark reality.

At The Czajka Care Group we know and understand, and both leading academics and government research agree, that of all groups in society, it is those of pension able age who are most likely to suffer from the effects of social exclusion. That is to say that through an inability to access services or simply by not having any contemporaries, people of pensionable age are more likely to lead unfulfilled lives, at a time in their lives when they most certainly do deserve to be living to the full.

We have tailored a number of services to meet the needs of the individual. Through Nursing and Residential Care we provide a warm, caring and safe environment to meet specialist needs as well as providing the platform for new friendships to blossom. Our Domicillary Service [Czajka Community Care Services] enables the individual to remain in their own home as long as they wish.

Residential Homes
Our Residential Homes provide residents with accommodation, meals, qualified staff 24 hours a day, together with personal care services such as bathing and dressing. Many residential homes also provide care for short and intermediate periods for recovery from illness not requiring extensive nursing care.
Please see: Brookfield Care Home for further details.

Nursing Homes
Our Nursing Homes, provide the same services as residential homes but for illnesses or disabilities that require frequent nursing care provided for by qualified Registered Nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Please see: Nursing Care for further details.

Domiciliary Care
Our Domiciliary Care Service provides many of the aspects of Residential and Nursing Care but in an individuals own home rather than in a specialist facility. Most common services include help around the home, tasks such as shopping, preparing meals, housework and 'Pop-in' services that involve assisting with small but essential tasks, preparing meals, personal care-helping with bathing, dressing etc. Live in servicesprovide 24 hour a day companionship. Night sitters and sleeper services-giving reassurance during the evenings, personal alarm systems-24 hour emergency help. Transport services-helping individuals from door to door and home adaptations-making the home safer and easier use e.g. telecare.
Please see: Czajka Community Care Services for further details.

Specialist Care
Many Care Homes provide specialist care for specific ailments or disabilities, such ailments usually fall under the branch of nursing care because of the need for specifically trained Registered Nurses (R.G.N.’s)
Please see: Nursing Homes for further details.

Young Adults (18-65) with Physical Disabilities
Physical Disability Centres offer professional nursing care to individuals who are unable to live in their own homes. The term 'young' refers to any individual between the ages of 18 and 65. Centres of this variety often have a number of Physiotherapists on staff as well as Physiotherapy Units to assist with rehabilitation and foster greater independence and self esteem.

For information regarding The Czajka Care Group’s own Centre For Young Adults with physical disabilities please see; Staveley Birkleas for further details.

Dementia Care
Dementia Care is provided within specialist homes which offer environments adapted to meet the needs of residents with Dementia. At The Czajka Care Group, we pride ourselves on employing well trained staff with experience specialised to meeting the needs of all our residents and this is no less true than that of our Dementia Care Services. We are dedicated to respecting the privacy, dignity, autonomy and rights of all our residents, particularly those suffering with dementia albeit within safe boundaries.

Rehabilitation and Intermediate Care
Rehabilitation and Intermediate Care Services bridge the gap between hospital and home. This is in order to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions whilst ensuring people who do not need to remain in hospital can still receive support and rehabilitation.

The Rehabilitation and Intermediate Care Service (RICS) provides assessment, treatment solutions, rehabilitation plans and support to frail, older people with complex healthcare needs.

Respite and Short Breaks
Caring for a dependent is often very rewarding and sometimes the only way for some to attain peace of mind. However, it is important for carers to receive some time off, not only for the carer’s own health and well being, but also for a change of scenery and a break of routine.
The Czajka Care Group offers Respite Care and short breaks at all our Nursing and Residential Care Homes as well as providing Community Based Respite Service through Czajka Community Care Services.

Convalescent Care

Patients can recuperate in a warm, friendly atmosphere where their needs can be met and peace of mind can be assured by having a number of Registered Nurses or qualified staff available at a moments notice.

The service enables the individual to participate in a range of activities as well as receiving personal care, tasks including bathing, hairdressing, chiropody etc., whilst also allowing carers to take a break from carrying out their tasks. Whilst the dependent is participating in day care they will be provided with a range of activities and be provided with refreshments and meals.
