Frequently
Asked Questions
Q. Are all care homes registered
and thoroughly expected?
All care homes must be registered and comply
with government guidelines. They all undergo regular unannounced
inspections by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to assess
the quality of care given and to ensure procedures are followed.
We provide our CQC ratings on all our care services as well
as providing links to reports. Alternatively they can be downloaded
from www.cqc.org.uk
Q.
How much will care cost?
Cost is dependent on the level of savings and assets a prospective
resident has. For more details please refer to our “paying
for care” section.
Q.
I need help to sort out my fees, will you help?
Our staff prides themselves on the quality of care they provide
and their helpful, friendly nature. Any way we can help-we
will always oblige.
Q.
If my money runs out will I have to go to another home?
No, this is your home for as long as you need it. Finances
can be sorted.
Q.
Does every resident receive an individual care plan?
Prior to admission every resident is assessed to ensure that
their needs can be met by our homes and staff. A care plan
will then be drawn up by our qualified staff in consultation
with the resident and loved ones if desired. This care plan
sets out how staff will meet the needs of the residents and
reviewed on a monthly basis to ensure residents receive the
best quality of care.
Q.
What is the visiting policy?
All our homes operate an open-house visiting policy, although
we ask that visitors avoid meal times. Tea, coffee and meals
are also available to visitors without added expense.
Q.
What is the policy of redecoration of rooms?
Prior to the admission of all residents, rooms are redecorated
as a matter of maintenance to ensure a high standard throughout
the home (s). All prospective residents are encouraged to
bring small items of furniture, treasured personal items such
as photographs and ornaments. We feel that people have spent
their entire lives being individuals and the trimmings of
that individuality through a life led should not be left behind
when entering care.
Q.
Would I/my loved one lose their freedom and independence when
entering residential or nursing care?
At The Czajka Care Group, as well as providing the best possible
care to our residents, we actively encourage independence
and a social lifestyle. We do this by providing choices whether
through different menus at meal times, a selection of daily
activities or through day trips.
Q. Can I keep my own routine?
Yes-this is your home; the staff will fit around your routine.
Q.
Can I keep my own Doctor?

trips, organise events and run daily activities.
Q.
Can I have religious services in the home?
The Czajka Care Group respects the rights of all residents
to partake in religious services, making arrangements with
religious leaders to come into our homes. Please note that
while we respect the rights of residents to partake in religious
services-we have a strict policy of never imposing religious
beliefs on any of our residents.
