Lifestyle - Social Activities
Each
of the Czajka Care Group homes have a dedicated events coordinator
who ensures that there is a daily activity organised as well
as the organisation of the events themselves. Events and activities
are advertised 2 weeks to a month in advance using the message
board in the entrance of each home and with a leaflet given
to each resident in their rooms.
These are just an example of what goes on in our homes. |

Entertainers:
Each of our homes have a variety of different entertainers
coming in once or twice a week to entertain our residents.
Acts can include singers, local school choirs, the Salvation
Army band and magicians amongst many others.

Day Trips:
All of our homes provide weekly day trips. Destinations vary
depending on the season, for example in the lead up to Christmas,
residents can choose to go to the White Rose Centre in Leeds
to buy presents for loved ones, whereas during the summer
residents can take a trip to the Yorkshire Dales to enjoy
the scenery of Britain’s most beautiful national park.
We also have the capacity to take residents on international
trips to visit relatives etc… Such trips in the past
have included New York and Switzerland as an example.

Hobbies, Arts and Crafts:
At all
Czajka Care Group homes we encourage our residents to pursue
interests and hobbies. Whether residents wish to sit inside
and paint the changing of the seasons from a warm and comfortable
environment or sit outside during warmer months with a friend
enjoying a friendly game of scrabble or chess-we provide the
materials and encouragement for them to do so.

| |
Pets as Therapy:
We schedule
at least one day a week in each of our homes where we have
well mannered pets come into our homes to provide warmth and
comfort to our residents as well as providing an opportunity
to recant tales of former pets and generally reminisce.

|
| |
Parties:
Every year older
means another year to celebrate, at The Czajka Care Group
we celebrate every resident’s birthday as being special.
Staff, residents and families get into the party spirit, dressed
in hats and their Sunday best, special meals are provided
as well as celebratory birthday cake for anyone who wishes
to partake. We also have special parties for all major public
holidays and special days including VE day and National Grandparents
day.

|
|
| |
Fetes and Fair:
Every
home has some sort of fete or fair every year during warmer
months, with residents and families from each of homes being
more than welcome to visit and take part in other homes fetes
and fairs. All in the name of charity, residents and their
families have the opportunity to pick up a bargain, win prizes
in raffles and tombola or soak the senior staff with wet sponges.
