What Do Our Care Homes in Bradford Provide?

Choosing a care home can be a difficult decision – there are so many things to consider and it’s essential you find the right home for you or your loved one.

Choosing a care home can be a difficult decision – there are so many things to consider and it’s essential you find the right home with the right types of care for you or your loved one.

All care and nursing homes are staffed 24 hours a day and provide accommodation, meals and help with personal care needs. Nursing homes also have registered nurses on duty at all times.

At Czajka Care Group we care for more than 200 people in our two nursing homes and one care home. Each of our homes is different, but they all provide a very comfortable and homely environment, with the highest levels of care and service.

We have won many awards and accolades and recently secured a top independent infection control rating of more than 98%, at all five of our homes, in recognition of exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards.

We have also achieved the prestigious Investors in People Accreditation in recognition of our reputation as a leading employer and all our homes, as well as The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park, has a five-star Food Hygiene Rating Scheme Certificate

All our homes have also been awarded the highly sought after Gold Standard Framework Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award. We are very proud of all these accolades which are a tribute to our entire team, who work incredibly hard to achieve such high standards day in, day out.

One of our main beliefs is that true wellbeing for people of any age comes when they are connected to their communities, and have support and contact from people who genuinely care. That’s a great place to start when choosing a care home.

PAYING FOR CARE

At Czajka Care Group we believe that quality care is a right that should be made available to all.

We understand that the cost of paying for private nursing and residential care can be significant, which is why we aim to provide the best quality care plans at the most affordable prices.

There are several processes to follow when working out who pays for what elements of care, but the first step is to participate in a ‘care needs assessment’ which is carried out by the Local Authority. Age UK offers some useful advice and guidelines on what steps to follow on the links below, or call us on 01274 533 502 and we can discuss the options.

Care Services Provided in our Care Homes

Brain Injury Care

No two brain injuries are the same, so our support and rehabilitation is centred around the needs of the individual. We provide comprehensive care, support and rehabilitation services for people with acquired or traumatic brain injury and other neurodegenerative conditions.

Day Care

Day Care Services are intended for those who have been assessed as being frail or at risk and prefer to continue living at home but need some support during the day. The service enables the individual to participate in a range of activities as well as receiving personal care, tasks including bathing, hairdressing, chiropody.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a term used to describe the symptoms that occur when the brain is affected by certain conditions or diseases. There are many different types of dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. Dementia is a progressive illness, but how people experience dementia varies with each individual. Places are offered following an individual assessment, to ensure we can meet each person's specific needs, and that the environment is suitable for them. Our staff are fully trained in dementia care and pride themselves on making everyone feel comfortable and valued, by always treating residents with respect, helping them make choices, and taking time to listen.

Huntington’s Disease Care

Currently there's no cure for Huntington's disease or any way to stop it's symptoms getting worse. Daily tasks such as getting dressed, moving around and eating can be frustrating and exhausting if you have Huntington's disease. Our quality treatment and support can help reduce some of the problems caused by the condition.

Motor Neuron Disease Care

Motor neurone disease is a rare condition that affects around two in every 100,000 people in the UK each year. There are about 5,000 people living with the condition in the UK at any one time.

With specialist support, many people can maintain some independence for a significant part of the condition's course. At our care homes we aim to provide a  quality of life they may not have imagined was possible at the time of their diagnosis.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

There's currently no cure for multiple sclerosis (MS), but it's possible to treat the symptoms with medicines and other treatments. Our carers are trained to provide expert Multiple Sclerosis care to people with a full range of symptoms.

Nursing Homes

Nursing Homes offer accommodation, personal care, support, meals and expert nursing care 24 hours a day from qualified registered nurses for people with a wide range of conditions. Anyone who needs personal support and accommodation as well as expert specialised nursing care, can access this at our Beanlands, Currergate, Fairmount and Staveley BirkleasNursing Homes, which all have the very best dedicated facilities, mobility aids and specialist equipment.

Palliative Care

Palliative care focuses on the relief of pain and symptom control for anyone with a serious illness or nearing the end of their life. The overall aim is to improve quality of life in comfortable surroundings whilst always maintaining dignity, as well as providing a support system to the resident and those close to them.

We provide palliative and end of life care at Beanlands Nursing Home, which has achieved the Gold Standard Framework (GSF) accreditation. This is awarded to care homes that can evidence the highest standard of care for all people nearing the end of their lives. It means we listen to what people want and support them and their families in making choices and decisions about their care when nearing the end of their life. The GSF is sponsored by Age UK and endorsed by the English Community Care Association, Registered Nursing Home Association, National Care Association and National Care Forum.

We also work together with other professionals to ensure people can stay at Beanlands and be looked after by staff they know and are familiar with, who will continue to give them the care they want and deserve, at the end of their life. Click HERE for more details on Beanlands.

Rehabilitation and Intermediate Care

Rehabilitation and intermediate care services bridge the gap between hospital and home. The focus is on enabling people to recover from hospital treatment, maximise independence and build confidence. These services help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and ensure that people still receive the care and support they need after a hospital stay, in the comfort of a care home setting.

Our home is fully equipped with specialist facilities and equipment to help us care for people with varying conditions and needs.

Residential Care Homes

All our residential Care Homes offer accommodation, personal care, support, and meals to people when it has become too much for them to manage at home. Short-breaks, respite periods and longer-term options are all available at our Brookfield Care Home, which enjoys a quiet spot in a sought-after residential area in Nab Wood, Shipley. We care for up to 40 older people at Brookfield, to find out more click HERE.

Respite Care and Short Breaks

Caring for a dependent is often very rewarding, but it can also be challenging, which is why we offer short-breaks and respite care for adults of all ages at all five of our homes. A change of scenery and a break of routine can be very beneficial to everyone concerned.

Young Adults (18-65) with Physical Disabilities

Nursing homes registered to care for people with physical disabilities provide specialist nursing care to people who are unable to live in their own homes. The term 'young' refers to any person from the age of 18 years upwards. Our Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home provides adaptations, facilities and equipment to enable young people to maintain as much independence as possible. It also has specially trained staff, including physio aides, to cater for a wide range of disabilities and needs.
