We are currently looking for a Registered Manager to join our team.

Staveley Birkleas provides specialist nursing care for up to 60 adults, aged 18yrs upwards, who have physical disabilities and is accredited with Gold Standard Framework and Investors in People.

Our aim at Staveley Birkleas is to help each person live their lives to the fullest potential with support and stimulation in a safe, comfortable environment. The position is to oversee and manage all aspects of the home including it’s statutory requirements with the Care Quality Commission, local authorities and NHS.

Previous recent experience of working with adults with physical disabilities is essential within a management capacity and working with adults with learning disabilities preferable. The person’s appointed will have contracted hours and set days to cover for annual leave and absence, working in one of two teams to cover for 2 nursing homes and one residential care home in Nab Wood, Shipley while a second team will cover two nursing homes in Steeton and Cross Hills. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and confident chef to provide high quality catering for residents of Czajka Care Group’s growing portfolio of care homes and retirement villages.

The role involves working in a relief capacity, covering a region of six establishments on a mobile basis, and for this reason requires a chef who is confident of their abilities, and are able to make a strong contribution to the kitchen operation quickly and seamlessly. You will be responsible for making an active contribution to the smooth running and service delivery of the kitchen.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in catering, and will be trained to NVQ or equivalent standard. You will take pride in providing a first class quality menu, taking responsibility for ensuring that all meal are nutritionally balanced and of the highest standard. You will be responsible for assisting in menu design, and will be passionate about creating the best possible dishes to ensure a varied and exciting menu choice. We have an exciting opportunity for a chef/cook to join a well established and dedicated team at Fairmount Nursing Home.

The role:

  • Daily Management of the kitchen and delivery of food service
  • Delivering high standards of food and have a good understanding dietary needs
  • Following company and legal legislation including Food Safety and Health and Safety policy`s
  • Assisting with other duties as directed by the Catering Manager

The candidate:

  • 3-5 years Experience within the hospitality industry, with preferable experience within care homes
  • Hold a current Level 2 Food Safety certificate
  • City and Guilds 7061/2 professional cookery or Equivalent qualifications
  • Have excellent Communication skills
  • Preferably holder of a current Enhanced DBS certificate or willing to undertake an DBS Check

Rate of pay £8ph, Monday to Friday, and £8.80ph on weekends.
