Training Centre
First-class training is at the heart of everything we do at Czajka Care Group. We not only train our own staff but also provide training services to other businesses and organisations.
From our pioneering training centre we share our wealth of experience in the care industry – which spans more than 30 years – with all new staff, our existing team and other care providers. By properly inducting new people into the business they can operate at the highest levels and quickly get to grips with all of our policies and procedures.
Quality training is at the heart of everything we do, and by investing in our team from day one, we can support and guide them through all sorts of scenarios. Because our team benefit from a whole host of courses and guidance, we have a much higher employee retention figure than other care operators, which ultimately gives continuity of care to our residents and their family.
We also provide training contracts to other homes across Yorkshire and several external organisations, including the NHS, regularly use our training centre too maximise the potential of their people.
Courses on offer include manual handling, new care standards and adult protection safeguarding. In addition, we provide a four day training course in induction standards, which covers subjects including first aid, health and safety, infection control, communications, client confidentiality, palliative care and food hygiene.
This is what our managing director Konrad Czajka has to say about the training centre: “We have been at the forefront of the local care industry for more than 20 years and much of our success is based on our ability to train our team to an exceptionally high standard. This led to us launching the Czajka Training Centre 5 years ago. The centre is managed by a team of care professionals, who all have vast amounts of experience working in the care industry and are qualified to deliver an extensive range of courses that can have an immediate impact on the standard of service that care homes offer.”
Training manager, Margaret Watkins, who has worked at Czajka Care Group for 26 years added: “The external courses we offer are proving to be hugely successful with clients who want us to provide training on their premises as well as those that prefer to utilise our training centre and its facilities. We can cater for any number of employees, from small groups up to a maximum of 32 at any one time. All the courses we provide are fully certified and candidates can also use them as a pathway to go on to complete NVQs and other professional qualifications.”
