Respite Care and Short Breaks

Caring for someone is often very rewarding and sometimes the only way to get peace of mind. However without the right support and regular breaks the carer's own health and well being can suffer. The Czajka Care Group offers respite care and short breaks for adults of all ages at our nursing and care homes.

Rotational Care Services

Rotational care is regular respite care planned and booked for specific times throughout the year. This enables carers to arrange regular breaks from their responsibilities and gives the cared for person a short stay break and the opportunity to make new friendships within one of our nursing and care homes.

Palliative and End of Life Care

Palliative care focuses on the relief of pain and symptom control for anyone who is facing a serious illness or is nearing the end of their life.
The overall aim is to improve quality of life, by increasing comfort, promoting dignity and providing a support system to the person who is ill and those close to them. Czajka Care Group provides palliative and end of life care to residents in our nursing and care homes and to people who live in their own homes and receive our community care services. Beanlands Nursing Home has also achieved the Gold Standard Framework accreditation, which is awarded to care homes that can evidence the highest standard of care for all people nearing the end of their lives.

Rehabilitation and Intermediate Care

Rehabilitation and intermediate care services bridge the gap between hospital and home. The focus is on enabling people to regain skills, maximize independence and build confidence. These services help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and ensure people who do not need to remain in hospital can still receive the care and support they need to regain skills but in a care home setting. Currergate Nursing Home has sixteen beds allocated to specialist intermediate care, where our team work in partnership with NHS Bradford and Airedale, offering rehabilitation and reablement to patients following discharge from hospital.

Day Care Services

Day care services are aimed at those who are able to continue living at home but need some support during the day. The service allows them to participate in a range of activities as well as receiving personal care, giving carers a break from carrying out their tasks. People attending day care will be provided with refreshments and meals.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a term used to describe the symptoms that occur when the brain is affected by certain conditions or diseases. There are many different types of dementia such as Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. Dementia is a progressive illness, but how people experience dementia varies with each individual. Our nursing and care homes provide care for people with dementia, however this is dependent on an individual assessment to ensure that we can meet the person's needs and that the environment is suitable for them. We also provide care to people with dementia who live in their own homes through our community care teams. Our staff are trained in dementia care and understand the importance of making the person feel valued and good about themselves by treating them with respect, helping them make choices and taking time to listen.
