Currergate Nursing Home - Steeton
Situated in Steeton between Steeton and Skipton.
Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton is one of the few nursing homes in the region to be awarded the prestigious Gold Standard Framework accreditation, in recognition of its exceptionally high standards.
A stunning new extension at Currergate has recently been completed. There are 15 new en-suite rooms, with five rooms on each of the three storeys of the new extension. To see a video of one of the immaculate new rooms, which has fabulous views, and a video of the en-suite bathroom, click here.
At the heart of our nursing home is the beautiful oak panelled lounge where residents can relax, socialise and watch television or listen to music. There’s also a large conservatory with patio doors so residents can enjoy our fantastic terrace and gardens.
All rooms are fitted with quality furniture, an individual nurse call system, telephone point and television. We always encourage residents to bring personal items such as small items of furniture, photographs, ornaments and other treasured mementoes to help make their room their own. A number of ground floor rooms have patio doors which open out onto the terraces and gardens.
The nursing home also has high speed WiFi so residents can use the internet and stay in touch with family and friends using social media and Skype.
Residents can choose to have their meals in the large dining room and are also welcome to enjoy a drink from our well stocked bar, or people may prefer to eat in their rooms, which we can easily accommodate.
With plenty to do from daily exercise classes, coffee mornings, sing-alongs and outings – there is always something to join in with.
As well as the Gold Standard Framework, our home is also accredited as an Investors in People organisation, demonstrating our commitment to developing staff and ensuring continuous improvement. It has an impressive infection control rating.
Currergate has been operated in Keighley as a nursing home since 1982. Czajka Care Group has owned and run the home since 2003.
