Residents and staff at Brookfield Care Home were treated to a heartwarming visit from Richard and his lovely dog, Honey. Richard filled the home with music and cheer as he sang some of our residents’ favourite songs, while Honey captured everyone’s hearts with her adorable tricks. The afternoon was filled with laughter, cuddles, and even a few happy tears as everyone enjoyed the uplifting atmosphere. A big thank you to Richard and Honey for bringing so much joy and warmth to our home!

What a truly unforgettable day for our wonderful resident, Michelangelo, as his lifelong dream came true — watching his beloved hometown team, Napoli, play against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Thanks to the dedication and effort of our amazing team at Staveley Birkleas, we were able to make this special wish a reality. The joy and pride on Michelangelo’s face said it all. It was more than just a football match — it was a day filled with happiness, memories, and heartfelt moments. Our residents from Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home had a fantastic time celebrating at Bradford Pride! The day was filled with music, colour, and laughter, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles as everyone joined in the celebrations. Brookfield Care Home canal walk challenge
Sarah, Vicki, and Jill from Brookfield Care Home completed a remarkable 29-mile walk along the canal from Skipton to Leeds, taking 14 hours to complete. Their incredible endurance and dedication raised £1,020 for our residents’ fund.
Currergate Nursing Home two-peak sponsored walk
A huge congratulations to the team from Currergate Nursing Home for completing a two-peak sponsored walk in aid of the residents’ fund. Their incredible efforts have raised spirits and strengthened community bonds, with plans already in place for a three-peak challenge next year once everyone has recovered!
