Our specialist Nursing Home in Shipley, Staveley Birkleas, cares for people with a range of disabilities. We hosted a fabulous socially distanced concert for our residents with musicians Paddie Maguire & Jenna Hooson Maguire and everyone had a ball!

Singer Andy Wiseman performed for our residents at our Brookfield Care Home in Shipley recently. It was his second socially distanced performance for us and we were blessed with lovely sunshine. A few of our residents even enjoyed a dance. He will be back by popular demand very soon!

Letters of positivity and artwork act as constant reminder of support

The letters and artwork we have received from children at Thackley Primary School, Crossley Hall Primary School and the grandchildren of our residents and children and grandchildren of our staff has really bought a smile to so many faces. The bright and positive pieces of artwork have been lovingly made into inspirational displays taking pride of place in all five of our homes. They act as a constant reminder of the support we have.

Hardworking care teams receive tasty treats from local companies

Food hampers, chocolate treats and break time snacks from Greggs, Prep N Go, Morrisons, Dominos and local plumber James Holden, have all been gratefully received and eagerly consumed over the last few weeks! 

 

 

Local schools and businesses donate PPE equipment

The care and thoughtfulness shown to our hard working staff from local schools and businesses has been humbling. We have been able to supplement our own supplies of PPE equipment with donations of face visors from Bradford Grammar School, Hanson Academy, Five Landis and Nautical Vapes. BHP Accountants also arranged for a donation of face visors via ‘Made In Yorkshire’ which were manufactured by SI Mouldings.

VE Day celebrations at Czajka Care Group

Every one of our homes pulled out all the stops for VE Day. It was an important milestone to celebrate, as many of our residents lived through it, and it was incredible to see the creativity and thoughtful planning that went into the day. With specially made VE Day commemorative cakes, buns and pies alongside decorations and musical trips down memory lane, we were able to safely mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day in style.

Staveley Birkleas sponsored walk

Our Staveley Birkleas home - which is the specialist nursing home in the North - is organising a fundraising walk for the SSAFA Armed Forces Charity. 

Come and join us for the circular 6.5 mile walk, which will take in some of the sights of Ilkley, on 28th September.

Some of the money raised will also be donated to the Staveley Birkleas residents' fund.

Recruitment drive launched at Czajka with a 'golden hello' for new staff

Czajka Care Group has launched its biggest recruitment drive in its 36-year history and is planning to create 30 new jobs before the end of the year including care workers and chefs, as well as registered nurses, who will also benefit from a £500 ‘golden hello’.

Caring for 18 - 64 year olds with physical disbailities, we make sure there is something for everyone. With trips to the cinema, theatre and canal trips, as well as regular exercise and dance classes, bowling matches and speiclist holistic massage. A special visit to Harewood House will also take place at the end of the month.
