The Charity Football Club is based in Bradford and play all over the country raising funds for many organisations and charities - over £73,000 raised and donated to date with ex professional players, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale stars and TV personalities all playing. At the last game £3,500 was raised for Cash for Kids & Rotherham Chartity Hospital.
We are so lucky to have a fabulous light-filled conservatory, where we can get together and enjoy all sorts of group activities at our Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton.

It's that time of the year, when the strawberries and Pimms come out! Our residents at our Beanlands Nursing Home really enjoyed their tasty treats and we followed them up with some ice-cream.
We have all been enjoying the Euro 2020 football competition. At our specialist home, Staveley Birkleas, our wonderful activities co-ordinator organised for everyone to watch the match on the big screen and decorated the games room with flags. We had a tasty takeaway pizza at half time and celebrated the winning goals! Come on England!
We have regular games afternoons, but when the weather is nice we always like to get outside to run them. It's great to be able to enjoy the sunshine in our easily accessible outdoor space at our specialist home, Staveley Birkleas, where we care for younger people.
Father's Day was a fun packed day of celebration with darts, dominos, pies and a pint (or glass of wine!) at Beanlands Nursing Home, plus a plant and chocolate gift. What a celebration!

We are helping residents to boost their physical and mental strength by launching a series of bespoke ‘lockdown proof’ exercise classes and programmes.
From 8th March our residents will be allowed to hold hands with a regular indoor visitor under new Government plans to ease lockdown restrictions in England. Visitors will be required to take a Covid-19 lateral flow test before entry and must wear PPE.

Our specialist Nursing Home in Shipley, Staveley Birkleas, cares for people with a range of disabilities. We hosted a fabulous socially distanced concert for our residents with musicians Paddie Maguire & Jenna Hooson Maguire and everyone had a ball!
Singer Andy Wiseman performed for our residents at our Brookfield Care Home in Shipley recently. It was his second socially distanced performance for us and we were blessed with lovely sunshine. A few of our residents even enjoyed a dance. He will be back by popular demand very soon!

The letters and artwork we have received from children at Thackley Primary School, Crossley Hall Primary School and the grandchildren of our residents and children and grandchildren of our staff has really bought a smile to so many faces. The bright and positive pieces of artwork have been lovingly made into inspirational displays taking pride of place in all five of our homes. They act as a constant reminder of the support we have.
Food hampers, chocolate treats and break time snacks from Greggs, Prep N Go, Morrisons, Dominos and local plumber James Holden, have all been gratefully received and eagerly consumed over the last few weeks!
The care and thoughtfulness shown to our hard working staff from local schools and businesses has been humbling. We have been able to supplement our own supplies of PPE equipment with donations of face visors from Bradford Grammar School, Hanson Academy, Five Landis and Nautical Vapes. BHP Accountants also arranged for a donation of face visors via ‘Made In Yorkshire’ which were manufactured by SI Mouldings.
Every one of our homes pulled out all the stops for VE Day. It was an important milestone to celebrate, as many of our residents lived through it, and it was incredible to see the creativity and thoughtful planning that went into the day. With specially made VE Day commemorative cakes, buns and pies alongside decorations and musical trips down memory lane, we were able to safely mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day in style.
