Cocoa's visit to Beanlands Nursing Home is music to our ears
We had a fantastic visit from Cocoa the therapy dog and her owner Mary recently. We have also had some wonderful musical entertainment from two live music groups - Fourth Saxophone Quartet and Ivory & Strings.
It is great to have such a varied mix of visitors coming to entertain our residents.

What a truly unforgettable day for our wonderful resident, Michelangelo, as his lifelong dream came true — watching his beloved hometown team, Napoli, play against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Thanks to the dedication and effort of our amazing team at Staveley Birkleas, we were able to make this special wish a reality. The joy and pride on Michelangelo’s face said it all. It was more than just a football match — it was a day filled with happiness, memories, and heartfelt moments. A huge thank you to all the team who went above and beyond to make this incredible experience possible.
Special visitors bring music and smiles to Brookfield Care Home
Residents and staff at Brookfield Care Home were treated to a heartwarming visit from Richard and his lovely dog, Honey. Richard filled the home with music and cheer as he sang some of our residents’ favourite songs, while Honey captured everyone’s hearts with her adorable tricks. The afternoon was filled with laughter, cuddles, and even a few happy tears as everyone enjoyed the uplifting atmosphere. A big thank you to Richard and Honey for bringing so much joy and warmth to our home!

Our residents from Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home had a fantastic time celebrating at Bradford Pride! The day was filled with music, colour, and laughter, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles as everyone joined in the celebrations. Being part of such a vibrant and welcoming community made the occasion even more special, and our residents loved every moment of it.

Residents at Staveley Birkleas were on the edge of their seats cheering as the Lionesses secured a fantastic victory. Flags waved, tea flowed, and chants rang out as our residents shared in the excitement and energy of the match.

Brookfield Care Home canal walk challenge
Sarah, Vicki, and Jill from Brookfield Care Home completed a remarkable 29-mile walk along the canal from Skipton to Leeds, taking 14 hours to complete. Their incredible endurance and dedication raised £1,020 for our residents’ fund.
